What is hybrid Open Access (Sage Choice)?

The Sage Choice program offers authors the option to publish their article open access in hybrid Sage subscription journals. It also enables authors to comply with funding body requirements, where publishing research papers open access is a stipulation of funding, while still publishing their article in the hybrid journal of their choice.

For more information, please see Sage Choice | SAGE Publications Ltd

Sage Choice Article Processing Charges (APCs)

  • The author, institution, or funding body typically pays the APC.
  • The Sage Choice Price List, attached below, records the APC for each of our hybrid journals that offer Sage Choice, please use this list to check APC rates by title.
  • APCs exclude other potential authors fees levied by some journals, such as color and page charges. To identify if a journal has additional charges please refer to the individual journals submissions page. For full information on these types of charges please refer to Sage Perspectives | Blogs | Sage Publishing
