Set up Sage Journals email alerts


To sign up for email alerts from Sage Journals, please follow these steps:


  1. Log in to your Sage Journals profile. If you do not yet have a Sage Journals profile, please register to create a profile by going to our Sage Journals registration page.
  2. Navigate to the journal you are interested in receiving alerts from. 
  3. From the journal's home page, find the "Keep up to date" option, located below the journal information menu. If you only wish to sign up for email alerts, click on the "SIGN UP" button. Or, click on "View all options" for more information on other options to follow updates from the journal.

An example of the "Keep up to date" choices and the "sign up" button users will find on a journal's home page. Logos and text appear with the following options: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, RSS feed, and Email alerts. Text says "Sign up to receive email alerts with the latest table of contents and when new articles are published online.

        4. If you click on the "SIGN UP" button, a text box will display. Tick the box to confirm the alerts you         

            would like to subscribe to and then click "CREATE EMAIL ALERT."


An example of the "Add email alerts" text box. Text example says "You are adding the following journal to your email alerts." The journal example is Psychological Science. There is a box under "New content" which is ticked and a button that says "create email alert."

5. After clicking on the "CREATE EMAIL ALERT" button, you will be directed to your profile page, where you may select your email alert preferences. Click on the tabs for "New issue alerts," "New article alerts," or "Citation alerts" to view the different settings for each. For instance, you may choose to receive your alerts in either "Plain text" or "HTML" format, or you may change the frequency you receive alerts (e.g. daily, weekly, or monthly). After making your selections, please click "UPDATE" to save your changes.

Unsubscribe from Sage Journals alerts


To unsubscribe from email alerts, at any time, follow these steps:


  1. Log in to your Sage Journals profile and click on "Access/Profile" and "View profile."
  2. Select the "My Alerts" option under "My profile."
  3. Select the tab for the alert type you wish to unsubscribe from, for "New issue alerts," "New article alerts," or "Citation    alerts."
  4. Find the journal you wish to unsubscribe from, click on the box next to it to remove the tick mark, and then click "UPDATE" to save your changes. Your account will then be unsubscribed from those alerts.
