You can search for specific users using the search function and assign a Course Assigner role that enables them to assign courses to students/researchers and track their progress.


There are 2 ways of achieving this: 


When a faculty member has not been registered on the platform: 

  1. Navigate to “My profile” 
  2. Select “Manage institution” 
  3. Click “Invite new user” 
  4. Key in their name, surname, and email address 
  5. Select “Course Assigner” role 
  6. Click “Invite user” 
  7. This will send an invitation link to the individual, please note it may be sent to their spam folder. 


When a faculty member has already been registered on the platform: 

  1. Navigate to “My profile” 
  2. Select “Manage institution” 
  3. In the table find the faculty member you want to assign the course assigner role to (if there are a lot of rows in the table you can use the search function to find a particular person)  
  4. Click "Edit"
  5. Select “Course Assigner” 
  6. Click “Update user” 
  7. When this user next signs in, they will sign in with the Course Assigner role.



Users can also request to become a Course Assigner and this will trigger an email notification to all Institutional Administrators to approve/decline the request. Institutional Administrators can also view these requests by selecting "My Profile" then navigating to the "List of requests to become a CA" tab:
