How long will it take for my article to be published Open Access?

Modified on Wed, 25 Sep at 9:37 AM

The timing of publication is dependent on how quickly the necessary steps are completed in the Sage Open Access Portal and during the Production process.

Once we receive your payment and your invoice is marked as paid in the Sage Open Access Portal, the workflow process will be considered completed and our Production team will proceed to publish your article Open Access.

Alternatively, if there is no APC payment to be made, once the license is selected and the workflow is marked as complete, then our Production team will proceed to published your article Open Access.

Ideally, if there are no delays to the Production process or action taken in the Sage Open Access Portal, Sage will aim to publish your article Open Access roughly 4 to 5 weeks after your article enters the Production stage.
