Overview

The author should revise and respond to all editor and reviewer comments. For guidance, use theAuthor Response to Reviewers Template (attached below). The revisions process may be repeated until the editor can make an informed decision whether to accept the paper. Rejection may still occur, even after several rounds of revision if the comments are not adequately addressed.

For more information, please visit our Author Gateway.

Each revision should be tailored to the editor and reviewer comments which included with your decision letter. If you are unable to find your decision letter, please search in your email inbox for the journal title and your manuscript ID as this information will be included in the email subject line.

What should I include with my revision?

For general information about what to include in your revision, please see below:

You will be unable to make your revisions on the originally submitted version of the manuscript.  Instead, revise your manuscript using a word processing program and save it on your computer.

Highlight the changes to your manuscript within the document by using bold or coloured text.

Only use citations that are relevant to your manuscript, and which directly and significantly contribute to the scholarly content of the paper. Authors should not self-cite nor cite their associate’s work unless such a citation is essential. The addition of citations to articles authored by the reviewer is strongly discouraged. You should provide an explanation of the relevance of any citation(s) added to your manuscript at the revision stage.

Please delete any redundant files from your original files before completing the submission. These original files are available to you when you upload your revised manuscript.
