Before completing the below steps, please verify with your LMS administrator that the Sage Campus LTI Tool is installed in your Canvas instance.
To add a Sage Campus course to your course in Canvas, you need to complete the following steps:
Create a Sage Campus account via Canvas
When you open a Sage Campus course or list of courses for the first time in your LMS, you will be prompted to either link to your existing Campus account or create a new one.
If you already have a Campus account, click the “Link this account” button. This will ensure that any course progress you make in your LMS is automatically saved to your existing account.
If you are new to Sage Campus, click “Create an account for me”. A new account will be created using your LMS email address, and your account password will be sent to you via email. You will only need this password if you wish to log in directly to the Sage Campus platform. Accessing Sage Campus through your LMS does not require a password.
Please note, you don’t see the password email in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folders.
Add Campus content to your course in Canvas
Watch this video for a demonstration on how to add Campus Content to your course in Canvas, or follow the instructions below.
As an instructor, you can set up access to a full Sage Campus course or a module within a course. Below are instructions for both scenarios.
1. Open your Canvas course using left-hand menu – your course should appear under the ‘Courses’ menu option. If it is published it may appear under ‘Published Courses’, if not you can find it under ‘All courses’:
2. Navigate to the “Assignment” section in the course menu:
3. Select the “+Assignment” button:
4. Enter the assignment name and any other setup details you wish to include.
5. In the “Submission Type” field, select “External Tool” from the drop-down menu. Click the “Find” button:
6. From the external tool list, locate “Sage Campus”.
Please note the name of the tool may vary. Please contact your Canvas Administrator if you cannot locate the tool.
7. Select the course or module you wish to add.
Please note, if you haven’t logged into Sage Campus via Canvas before, you will be prompted to either link to your existing account (if applicable) or create a new one.
View Campus course grades in Canvas
As an instructor, you can view whether your students have completed the Sage Campus course or module assigned to them. Sage Campus sends a 100% completion grade back to Canvas once the student has completed the assigned work.
1. To view student grades, navigate to the ”Grades” page in the course menu:
2. This page will show a breakdown of the assignment grades by student.
3. Select the student’s name to view a more detailed breakdown of their grades.
